Not appetising to look at and not exactly mouthwatering to eat, clams are probably the most boring thing I have eaten in a long while. With a bit of chilli, however, you can spice up the dullest of dishes.
- 200g spaghetti
- 280g can of Baby Clams in Brine
- 1 tsp Very Lazy chopped garlic or 1 finely chopped garlic clove
- a good pinch of chilli flakes
Cook the pasta in boiling water for 12 minutes with a pinch of salt. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic for 20 seconds. Add the clams and chilli flakes. Heat through. Drain the spaghetti and mix with the clam mixture.
Stir over the heat for five minutes. Season and serve immediately.
