Usually you would serve this with regular noodles or rice but I managed to find a packet of Asda Chilli Noodles.
Serves 2
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 250g stewing steak, cubed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp tomato purée
- 2 tsp plain flour
- 220ml beef stock
- 200g red kidney beans
- 1/2 green pepper, sliced
- 1 tomato, quartered
- 70ml soured cream
Fry the stewing steak in the oil until all sides are sealed. Remove and place on kitchen paper. Fry the onion and garlic in the pan and then stir in the paprika, tomato purée and flour. Gradually add the beef stock. Add the beans, bring to the boil and add the beef. Season.
Place in a baking dish and cook in a preheated oven at 150C for 2 hours.
Add the pepper and tomatoes and cook for an additional half an hour. Meanwhile cook your rice or noodles. The Asda packet noodles can be done in the microwave in minutes.
Take the stew out of the oven. Stir in the soured cream and serve immediately on your rice or noodles.
This looks really good!
Thank you. It was really good
